  • CHRISTMAS FAYRE Over £1600 was raised for church funds at this year's Fayre. Well done all those who helped to make it such a success.
  • CALL MY BLUFF EVENING A fun evening was much enjoyed by all - many thanks to all involved in organising this successful function, raising approx £650 for church funds.
  • EXETER CATHEDRAL CHOIR Evensong on Sunday 18 May was a wonderful occasion. The Cathedral Choir sang beautifully to a packed church. Some £340 was taken at the collection, to be presented to the Cathedral Choir.
  • SCARECROW TRAIL! Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June. Another highly successful trail, with many visitors enjoying all the scarecrows on display. Well done and many thanks to all organisers and helpers.
  • The Holy Cross emblem is taken from an ancient gravestone now resting in the Lady Chapel and believed to have been the marker for Bishop William Bradbridge, Rector of Newton Ferrers in the 16th. Century.
    The presence of a church in Newton Ferrers has been recorded since AD 1084 – making it one of the oldest foundations in the County of Devon. A few fragments remain of a Norman church on this site but the present building dates from the 12th. – 14th. Centuries. Read more...
